Summary:

This course explains how to create models that depict flows for a variety of processes using templates in the Flowchart Solution. These flow models represent processes ranging from financial audits to high-level business processes. Users can also learn how to use more complex flowchart solutions to depict process and information flows within an information system model. Finally, users will learn about the Integration Definition for Functional Modeling method (IDEF0), and how to implement it in Visio 2002.

Objectives:

After completing this course, students will be able to:
  • Identify the types of flowchart solutions provided with Visio 2002
  • Create diagrams, such as audit diagrams, TQM diagrams, and Work Flow diagrams, that depict high-level business processes
  • Create diagrams, such as data flow models, for use in system requirements definition

200MHz Pentium with 32MB Ram. 640 x 480 256-color video (800 x 600 is recommended). Windows 98 or higher. Minimum Connection Speed: 28.8k. Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher (5.5 or higher for MindLeaders Central) required. Macromedia Flash player 6.0 is recommended for full functionality, but not required to play the courses.
